Yup. Front ended.
Stopped at a stoplight behind a pickup, notice pickup's reverse lights come on, honk horn, crunch.
Wonderfully, this brilliant driver then pulls off the road, but without room for our car...we pull into a parkinglot about 50' away. As soon as we got out of the car, the pickup takes off. Now we're in a parking lot, with a front bumper with minor but noticeable damage, due to a hit and run.
We'll know more after taking the car to the body shop....
On the plus side, it's a great excuse to take the R1 out for some regular driving next week while the 8's in the shop...
